Noida Agra expresswayAfter hosting the maiden Formula 1 in Noida, last year, India has just opened the gates to one of its kind swanky new signal free expressway from Delhi to Agra. The 165 km elevated access controlled 6 lane expressway was opened with Chief Minster unveiling ceremonial the Ceremonial Plaque in Lucknow, and flagged off by Samajwadi party general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav , on August 11, 2011, reducing the distance  between Delhi & Agra to 211 kilometers. For Noida resident’s time taken would be just 2 Hours while from Greater Noida it would take a mere 1.5 Hours to Agra. However, this expressway will remain closed to heavy vehicles from 9 am to 9 pm till November. It will have a 211 km stretch where the maximum speed limit of 100 kmph for cars will be monitored by radar to keep every motorist safe, and Highway police patrolling every 25 km,  SOS booths & CCTV coverage every  5 kilometers.Yamuna Expressway

If you like to drive, you could hire a car of your choice from a Delhi car rental service and enjoy the pleasure of an adrenalin rush at 100kmh.

The expressway was conceived in 2003 on public- private partnership model and the Jaypee Group implementing it. This expressway will be running along the greenest parts of the river Yamuna, and  have all the modern facilities like fuel stations, food plazas, medical aids and rest rooms close by. And because it was built at massive cost of Rs 12,893 crores, toll charges for normal cars are a bit on the higher side, being Rs 300 and Rs 500 for light commercial vehicles.

If you want to work while travelling, then We suggest you could always avail of a Cab service in Delhi, and enjoy the super smooth road, minus the bumps, glitches and pot holed roads on NH2.

This will reduce the traffic load of NH2, which suffered from congested, jammed roads to Agra and takes a minimum of 4 Hours from Delhi if you’re lucky.  This new expressway not only reduces time taken for commuters, but will be of great benefit to commercial and industrial units at suitable locations and attract foreign investors too.

All in all, Yamuna Expressway is a great blessing for not only Delhi and Agra, but for the entire nation.
