Hang out with the clouds!

Take a train to Dehradun and once you reach there you get into another four-wheeler and take the winding road to hang out with the clouds. Believe us,

The Road to Mussoorie

Long and Winding Road

the landscape changes like magic after Dehradun and we would go so far as to insist you braving your vertigo ( if you have it, i.e.) and experience the breathtaking view as you clamber up to 5,990 ft of pure bliss!

Gaze at God’s Window!

An old Czech proverb describes the (now almost extinct) breed of content idlers by saying that ‘they are gazing at God’s windows!’ The point is not to extol or criticize idleness but to highlight the fact that there can be something called pleasant idleness as well, one which does not hurt anybody especially the practitioner.

In Mussoorie, you do just that – gaze at God’s window. The hot spot in Mussoorie is called the Mall (as in other hill stations) and is both pleasing to the eyes and caters to the tourists by having some fabulous eateries. There is a cable car service that is available here that will take you up to ‘Gun Hill’ and bring you back – needless to say that you should not miss it on any account.

Romancing ‘Gun Hill’ and picnicker’s paradise

The journey itself is romantic but there is more once you reach. ‘Gun Hill’ is the second highest point in Mussoorie (the first one being Lal Tibba) and there is something about height that makes you let go! You can get yourself photographed in local attire and though the activity is common enough, believe us the unspoilt environment will wipe the phoniness clean from such a pose.

Other picnic destinations in and around Mussoorie are Kempty Falls, Lake Mist, Company Garden and a handful of nooks and corners, each more picturesque than the other.

Great Buys & Things to do
